Alek Stark
Alek start his relation with the electro music as b.boy, breakin´ the streets of the downtown of Madrid in 1983.
He started to make the first beats in 1988 but he is best known by his releases on Disko B, Transient Force, Last Known Trajectory, Titan’s Halo, Interstellar Tracks, Original Street Techno, etc., also by his remixes for Arthur Baker, Newcleus, AS1, Synth Alien, Punx Sound Check/Marc Almond, Honk Kong Counterfeit, Esplendor Geométrico, AndresAndreas, Catherine Vatine… Iron Maiden! You listened to his works in sets of I-F, Dave Clarke, John Peel, Miss Kittin, Electric Indigo, David Carreta, Micronauts, Mick Willis, Tiga, etc…
Some years ago he founded the first spanish electro label, Headspin and after Star Whores Records, home for the artist such as Boris Divider, Dark Vektor, Alex Under, Neonwerk, Robert Calvin, Dj Split, Sace 2 amongst others. Some of these releases are hard to find collector items today, especially the picture disc “double A side” limited to 690 copies feat. Robert Calvin, Citizen/GD Luxxe/Alek Stark and the very hard to find classic 12″ of Esplendor Geométrico-Moscú Está Helado.
